Allu Arjun held responsible for death of 39-year old mother in Hyderabad, Allu Arjun shares condolences to Revathi’s family via twitter.
On Dec 4, at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre, RTC Crossroad, Famous Actor Allu Arjun arrived to the theatre with the film team and his family to attend screening of his latest movie – Pushpa 2: The Rule. With him a huge crowd of fans came which caused havoc and led to death of a 39-year Old mother and serious injuries to 9-year old child of her.
Revathi, mother of 2 children was unalived under huge crowd footsteps that entered the Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre during Pushpa 2 premier at 9:30 pm. Revathi came with her husband Bhaskar and there 9 year old son, Bhaskar came with his family including his wife, son and daughter. They came to watch the premier because there son became a huge fan of actor Allu Arjun after the release of Pushpa: The Rise.
According to Bhaskar, he and his 7-year old daughter got separated from the rest as the crowd went mad when the news of star’s arrival came. Bhaskar left his daughter with a nearby acquaintance house and went to look for his family. After hours of searching, he reported to police, who showed him CCTVs footage. On 5 Dec, 2 am he was struck with the horrific news of his wife’s death and critical injuries to his 9-year old child.
In a report of NDTV, A case has been filed against Allu Arjun and film team to be the cause of stampede resulting in death of a mother and hospitalization of her child. Hyderabad police held him responsible for not informing his arrival in prior so they could have made preparations and increase security to tackle any incident.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand said in a statement “There was no intimation from the side of theatre management or actors team that they will be visiting the theatre.” CV Anand says that strict actions will be taken against all who are responsible for the tragic incident.
Bhaskar’s son is hospitalized at KIMS Hospital, Hyderabad. Doctors at the KIMS Hospital said that he came in ‘semi-conscious’ state and was rushed to emergency room for treatment.
Allu Arjun learned of the fans death the next morning and was left in deep shock. On Dec 6, He shared his heartfelt condolences to the grieving family over the tragic incident via twitter. In a post by him, he stated “when we went for the premiere of Pushpa’s film, we had gone with RTC crossroad on a Saturday evening, because there was an unexpected crowd turnout, a lady, a mother of two children died in all the rush”. Allu Arjun said in the video that “they came to know of the tragic incident the following morning, he and Pushpa’s film making team were very disappointed because it was all very unexpected”.

He says that ‘in his career of 20 years this has never happened, he and his whole team were in deep shock for the first day due to the unexpected’. Allu Arjun further condolences to the grieving family, says he and his team is with them emotionally and will provide any kind 0f support. He also donated 25 lakh to the family of Revathi who died and also promises to cover all the medical expenses of there injured child. Allu Arjun ended the video with statement “people come with there families to theatres to enjoy them, to celebrate, if some tragedy occurs, all the joy will be in vain, it will affect us. So please be careful when visiting cinema and return home safely”
